Social Security announced today that the living increase for 2027 will be 3.6%.

President Trump did announce on October 2nd that there will be a one time $90 refund on Part B premiums for people that have original Medicare. The payments will be direct deposited into your bank account that your social security is deposited into. The payments will go out on October 8. If you have Medicaid or have your Part B premium paid by State assistance called SLMB you do not qualify. Anyone that has a Medicare Advantage plan also will not qualify for the $90 rebate. The payment is automatic and YOU DO NOT have to do anything. Beware of any phone calls or links. Anyone trying to help you get it or seeing if you qualify would be a scam!

CMS made an announcement today about rates for plans for 2027. These numbers are based on averages across the nation. We find out Oct 1 what the local plans look like for 2027! Now is the time to contact me to review your options!

Today on Daytime Tri-Cities I spoke about Network changes for 2027. Just to confirm, the contracts are still being negotiated for next year and nothing has been finalized, if you do want to review your plans then please contact me and I will help anyway I can!

Big News for 2027! Cigna just announced they are not going to offer individual plans for 2027. This means if you have an individual Cigna plan through the marketplace, you will have to find a different plan for next year. This does not affect their Medicare plans!

The Health Insurance enrollment period runs from Nov 1- Jan 15. So if you have Cigna or know someone that has Cigna we will need to find another option in Nov for next year!
