As long as limiting beliefs are allowed in the dark of our subconscious minds, they will control what you believe and ultimately what action you take, which will then prevent you from accomplishing the dream or the goal that you have.
Below are 5 simple mindset hacks I practice to overcome self-sabotage:
1️⃣ Expose the Belief: Ask yourself three questions. TLC - are your thoughts true, logical, and constructive?
Chances are the limiting thought will lose its power when you ask those questions.
2️⃣ Expect to Fail: Failure is not fatal. Expect that you will fail because any time we try to do anything big, we’re going to fail if we haven’t done it before, the key is to keep moving forward.
3️⃣ Embrace Fear: When you have a dream or goal that scares you, you’re moving past your comfort zone which signals growth. Face it head-on. Use fear as leverage towards your goals. And remember: Your greatest achievements start where your comfort zone ends.
4️⃣ Just Get Started: Other successful people have started with less. Don’t try to look so far ahead that it paralyzes you from even starting. What resources do you need to begin?
5️⃣ Reprogram the Script: Change the narrative in your head. You will need a whole new level of belief in order to get where you want to go. Evidence shows that speaking, thinking, acting POSITIVELY about what you want to do will drastically increase your chances of success.
Remember, the ONE THING thing that can cost you everything is thinking you need one more connection, one more strategy, one more motivational person to listen to —- and not eliminating the limiting beliefs that can be sabotaging your goals.
