What is the difference between a hard inquiry and soft inquiry?

A hard inquiry occurs when a lender with whom you've applied for credit reviews your credit report as part of their decision-making process. This type of inquiry appears on your credit report and can influence your credit scores.

A soft inquiry occurs in cases where you check your own credit or when a lender or credit card company checks your credit to preapprove you for an offer. Soft inquiries do not impact your credit scores.

1) provide proof of income with a w2
2) provide proof of income through a bank statement (Venmo money in and out daily with friends to to replicate consistent income)
3) use a handshake agreement with smaller landlord agreements and offer two months of rent as security deposit
4) rent through an LLC
5) use at least 5 references to vet your business if you need business history

How to pay down debt

High interest method
1)Make a list of all your debt
2) Arrange them from highest interest to lowest
3)Pay the minimum amount due across the board
4)Send the most you can afford to the account with the highest interest rate
5)Keep doing that until it’s paid off
6) Continue to do the with all the accounts until they are all paid off

Snowball effect
1)Make a list of all your account balances from lowest to highest if amounts are similar priorities account with the highest interest rate
2)Make the minimum amount due for all debt
3)Take any extra amount and put it towards the debt with the smallest amount until debt is paid off
4)DON’t use that account again until debt is clear
5)Continue to do that with the next account and so forth until debt is all clear

*Making extra payments towards the principal amount lowers the amount you are paying interest on.
