This weekend is our biggest charity weekend of the year on the Layke ! If you are a business and would like to donate a prize please let us know and we will advertise for you and make arrangements to pick up your prize . We gave away over 30K last year and this year we are trying to get to 50K -- Lets all pitch and make it happen ! As for everyone else - we need all the participants we can to make this a great event - if you never have been cmon out - it is a very large time and there is a band at the end of the day !!!

Here are a couple of thoughts on StumpFest Eve.....

1. Be kind. It is always hectic getting everyone parked. Help your neighbors and be considerate of everyone. Please no lilly pads close to the stage - they are a constant source of angst because of how much space the large ones take up.
2. Leave it Better!!!! We have trash cans floating on site - please pick up your trash and any trash anyone else leaves behind. Please no glass bottles in the water. We want to leave Low Water cleaner and better than it was before we borrow it for the day.
3. Hydrate - it is going to be 100 degrees and virtually no wind.
Stumpfest is a marathon and not a sprint - act accordingly.
4. Have an attitude of gratitude. Around 40 people bust their tail for free to make this event happen - please let them know you appreciate their efforts. They have been prepping for weeks and have pulled stages, will be selling merchandise (like this years' shirt in the pic) , changing out garbage bags, helping boats tie up etc. We also have a huge ALEA presence each year and we always ask for more. They are there to maintain order and to make sure everyone has a great time and makes it home safely . Treat them with respect.
5. If you are a drama queen and constantly have issues at events, don't come ! We don't want you there. We are fortunate to be able to have this event every year and we don't want any one person or group of people ending this event for everyone else. See pointer number 1 if you have any questions.
6. Come and have a great time but make sure you have a boat driver that can get you and everyone on the boat home safely after the show. That is our first priority and should be yours as well.

Time for the best LaYke weekend of the summer !!! Everyone line up a boat ride and lets make this year the biggest and best ever ! Come early , stay late , and buy lots of boat club merchandise . Great bands, great music, and great weather - right now the forecast shows 97 and all sunshine ! Lets gooooo !!
