For clarification, **Sections 62.008 and 85.0311 of the Texas Election Code address the required official markings on ballots**. Section 62.008 addresses the presiding election judge’s signature on ballots used on Election Day, while Section 85.0311 addresses the early voting clerk’s initials on ballots used during in-person early voting.
