UnitedHealthcare, SSM Health finalize letter of agreement; contract extended
We have finalized a letter of agreement with SSM Health and have extended our contract through Jan. 31, 2026. This extension provides people enrolled in our employer-sponsored commercial plans and Medicaid plans continued, uninterrupted network access to SSM Health’s hospitals, facilities and its physicians while our organizations finalize the terms of our new multi-year agreement.

As a reminder, people enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans, including Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) and Group Retiree, were not impacted by our negotiation and also continue to have network access to SSM Health on and after Jan. 1, 2026 Likewise, people enrolled in a Medicare Supplement plan also continue to have access to SSM Health.

We thank you for your support and patience throughout this process. We are honored to continue supporting all of the people throughout Missouri and Illinois who depend on us for access to quality and affordable health care through our large network of providers.

UnitedHealthcare members should call SSM Health if they need help scheduling appointments. They can also call the number on their health plan ID card if they have questions or are in need of assistance. Our dedicated team of advocates are ready to help.
