We’d like to give a huge thank you to Hillside Sports Club for their generous donation of 6200$ from this year’s ice fishing derby. Your support means a lot and will go a long way in helping us continue to give our community more than just a ski hill.

Events like yours not only bring the community together but also give back in a meaningful way—and that doesn’t go unnoticed. We truly appreciate your generosity once again.

From all of us at Spruce Mountain, thank you to everyone who made the derby a success. We’re truly lucky to have such an awesome community behind us.

What a season. From great snow making weather, early storms to spring slush, packed weekends to late-night fixes — we made it happen together.

We battled warm temps, rain, and even losing the generator, but this community never quits. That’s what makes this place special.

It was awesome seeing so many new faces out on the hill this year, along with all the familiar ones who keep coming back season after season.

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end it — Pauline Appreciation Day Rail Jam was the perfect high note to close things out.

Huge thank you to our entire staff for all the hard work they put in day in and day out to keep things going no matter what was thrown at them. And of course, thank you to the ones who showed up, rode, supported, and kept the energy alive.
We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next season.

Thank you to everyone that stepped in and helped when needed!!! the list is long. Just know we appreciated everyone that helped out.

A huge thank you from the Spruce Mountain Ski Area board. Ron Jacques, Nelson Dipompo, Frank Coates, Jessica Lara, Crystal Rose, Zachary Hamilton, Jacob Letendre, Justin Shink, Ben Guild and Kyle DeMillo
Manager- Skye Cotnoir

Crazy to think that after warm weather, the generator going down, and all that rain… we’re STILL making this event happen.

That just shows how much snow was laid down during the Hight Chevrolet GMC - Farmington Flurry and the Jamie Roy-RB's Meats Blizzard — and more importantly, the nonstop grind and dedication from our Mountain Ops crew 💪❄️

This one means a little more.

More details dropping tomorrow… stay tuned 👀

To say we are devastated is an understatement.

As people were starting to pile in and we were finishing our final checks before firing up the tow ropes, our generator went down. Unfortunately, we’ve been flirting with disaster with the generator all season, and tonight it finally gave out.
We had a lot of hands on it tonight trying absolutely everything we could to get it back up and running, but no luck.
One thing that makes Spruce Mountain unique is that we run on 575 volts for power. While that works well for us operationally and worked really well when the otis mill was running, it also makes situations like this harder because parts for the generator and other equipment are much more difficult to find and takes longer to get.
For now, we will be closed for the weekend while we figure out our next steps. We’ll keep everyone updated as we learn more and see what next week may bring.
We also know we have the Pauline Appreciation Day Rail Jam scheduled for March 21st, and we are already working on possible options for that event.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the mountain tonight — we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
We also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who jumped in to help try to get the generator going tonight, especially Owen Timberlake, Tony from Fat Electric, Roger paradie from AC Electric, and of course our own Mountain Operations crew.

WE ARE OPEN

5pm to 8pm tonight

The hard work put in by our grooming crew this morning and throughout the season, and our snow makers back in December and early January has paid off. The barn and bunny survived the big melt. Whether it survives the rain coming monday, thats a different story.

Glad to have Will, Andy and the rest of the crew from LINE Traveling Circus stop by the mountain today for a couple hours. To bad mother nature did us dirty this week and our snow pack is not great.

Pauline the groomer will be out on the hill tomorrow doing what she does best.
Trying to get the mountain back open is our number 1 goal. Please have patience and understand we lost a lot of snow this week. Stay tuned for an update on the mountain tomorrow.
