This basic ice breaker or line of questioning forces the person to evaluate how they have planned financially in the past. The beauty of this question is you not SELLING insurance. You are simply offering an audit of their insurance portfolio just like they audit their investment portfolio annually or quarterly.
Life insurance policies perform based on the stock market, the insurance company’s interest rate, or indexing depending on the type of policy. These rates need to be monitored at least ANNUALLY! If they have made sound financial decisions and their policy is in good order, you can help to confirm this for them.
However, we all know the insurance industry is rapidly changing which creates incredible opportunities I tweak your client’s current existing policies.
We’ve heard the the majority of the rebuttals to the “$100,000 question” and we have the responses for you. This leads to the “Old Kind/New Kind” conversation about adding Living Benefits, did you know you can be the beneficiary of your own policy?
