Ted, a real estate agent I work with, is Tucker's dad. They visit our branch all the time. Today, let's talk about Tucker, a first-time doghouse buyer!

• Get preapproved. Tucker did so he could write an offer with confidence
• Tucker only had to put 3% down as a first-time homebuyer so don’t let the 20% down myth deter you from buying a home.
• Work with a Realtor! Realtors do more than just show you homes. A purchase agreement is a legal contract, and Realtors are experts that can advise and help during writing an offer, negotiations along with advice on contractual contingencies.
• Make a list of priorities: Consider things like comfortable monthly payment, schools, access to highways if you commute, and so many other things.
• Now is always a good time to buy. Home values increase so don’t wait to start building your wealth. A home worth $350k today could be worth more than $500 in 10 years at an average appreciation rate of 4%.
A good mortgage lender and realtor will help with all of these and help make purchasing a home less stressful and even fun!! Even if you don’t think you’re ready today, give me a call so we can make plan to get you there!

December 1997, during a brutal snowstorm, I had an emergency C‑section while very ill. My daughter was born two months early and taken to the NICU. Because of my condition, days passed without me ever meeting her.
Two nights after giving birth my third‑shift nurse, Jodi, gently asked if I had seen my baby yet. When I told her no, I broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for my hospital bed to be wheeled to the NICU so I could finally see my daughter in her incubator.
That moment changed everything — and I started to get better. Jodi knew exactly what my heart needed. An absolute angel. Forever grateful ❤️
