Benefit Account Manager

As an Account manager you will provide customer service to clients and provide support to Benefit Sales Consultants and Marketers with the goal of client retention. You will utilize superior customer service skills to respond to client requests in methods that exceed their expectation. The ideal candidate will serve as “inside” technical expert in employee benefits and client advocate with the carrier/TPAs/vendors. You’ll be responsible for managing the client needs by proactively initiating communication and/or resolution through introductory calls (introducing client to their service team, administrative procedures, and contact information), pro-active semi-monthly service calls, and frequent updates during the life of an issue, client specific vendor evaluation, and/or program support (such as wellness). Ideally, you will develop “expertise areas” as assigned – these may be in relation to specific products, insurance companies, or enrollment systems.

Qualifications

Employee Benefits Account Manager

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of customer service experience with at least 2 years’ of Employee Benefits experience obtained in an HR role, through an insurance agency environment or with an insurance carrier
Life/Health Insurance Licenses preferred before start date. Otherwise, will need to obtain within 2 months of employment

Claim Mitigation Specialist

O&A Is looking for the ideal candidate to fill our Claim Mitigation Specialist position. This highly qualified individual would be responsible for the claim analytic work necessary to efficiently manage both fully insured and self funded key accounts. The individual would work closely with business units, leaders and executives.

Essential Duties would include

Oversees claims for key accounts and provides solutions to help mitigate claims and cost containment.
Works with the corporate benefits team as needed to ensure the appropriate guidelines are established
Work with executives and internal business units to manage the annual renewal of plan offerings each year
Facilitate regular reviews of insurance lines of coverage to ensure cost containment and audit of trends, benefit bench-marking, compliance and consumerism
Prepare analyses and reviews, identifying exposures & recommending solutions
Preparing presentation/reports for executives and organizing and analyzing information.
Work closely with internal teams to negotiate contracts that minimize risk and/or risk assessments
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION: * Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Human Resources, Public Health or related field. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, together with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Should be a motivated self-starter with ability to work independently.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE: Must possess the ability to clearly and effectively convey information to individuals or groups. This includes the ability to choose the appropriate method or methods of communication. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to implement solutions to address business issues a must. Ability to perform well under pressure with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently. Should be able to effectively organize, plan, control and prioritize work/projects. Must have the ability to regularly communicate progress to appropriate stake holders. Efficiently manages resources and understand work/project scope, key players, urgency, inherent risks and business benefits. Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities to meet deadlines. Ability to deliver on commitments as promised and able to acknowledge when commitments are not met and takes appropriate steps to fulfill what has been promised
