Harms and I’m the president and owner of TST-Harms, Inc., in Jacksonville, FL. I was born in Columbus, NE, but was raised in St. Louis, MO. I attended Southeast Missouri College in Cape Gigardeau, MO, and I got my undergraduate degrees in Biology and History in 1965. I then attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and graduated with my Masters Degree in Educational Psychology in 1966. A
fter graduation, I taught Biology in High School in Missouri for 3 years and then moved to Miami, FL where I was a guidance counselor in Junior High Schools for another 3 years. Unable to see a financial future in education, I was fortunate to get a job as a loan officer with Southeast Mortgage Company in 1972. In my first full year as a loan office, I set production records for the company in 1974. I was then transferred to Orlando, FL as Assistant Manager where I worked for two years before I was transferred to Jacksonville to open Southeast’s branch here. After getting the Jacksonville branch up and running successfully, I went on to open branches in Daytona Beach and Gainesville. I resigned from Southeast in 1982 and opened TST-Harms, Inc., on February of that year. TST-Harms has served Jacksonville now for over 32 years. During that time, TST-Harms has helped thousands of North Floridians get the mortgage that fits their needs.
