With the storm coming and the very real possibility of heavy rains and high winds, you will hear roofers, water mitigators and public adjusters asking you to sign forms that allow them to "fight" the insurance company on your behalf. Don't do it! You are in fact putting yourself in a very dangerous situation that can possibly lead to your house being foreclosed on! Call your agent with questions and company to report claims. You have rights as a policyholder. DON'T sign them away without knowing the facts.
