Remember: January 1st through March 31th each year is Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment. During this time those who have a Medicare Advantage plan (also known as Medicare Part C) may change to another Medicare Advantage plan one time which would be for the rest of the calendar year. Also, they have the option to leave the Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare (Part A hospital and part B medical) and enroll in a stand alone Medicare prescription plan.
