Have you ever heard the saying, “You’re not promised tomorrow?” It may seem like a simple thought that a lot of people say frequently, but 13 years ago today this saying became reality for me. I received a call from my brother to tell me my dad died earlier that day. I was in disbelief. The last time I saw him was racing this car in South Carolina just two weeks before. No one would have guessed that morning he was going to die that day.

At the time, I was not married nor did my brother or I have any children yet. If I could go back and change anything, I would have loved for him to see his grandkids.

Fortunately, he was prepared financially. So, at the end of the day, make sure you do what you want to do, and see what you want to see, and put your your family in a position where they will be ok financially, because nobody knows when that day will come.
