Why is credit important?

Credit is important because it’s literally your reputation. The more debt, the more you keep applying for a credit card and you keep on getting denied, the more you allow the car dealership to run 50,000 credit pulls (inquiries) the more hurt and damaging you are doing to your credit report.

Your credit virtually impacts every aspect of your life. It also determines and reflects what type of risk you are (high risk or low risk).

Your credit help different companies determine if you’re financially responsible.

Ignoring your debt is much worst than paying late. Each month you miss a payment you are closer to having an account charged off.

Just because it’s charged off doesn’t mean you don’t owe that debt it simply just means that the creditor believes that it is un-collectible.

The creditor will typically either sell the debt to a 3rd party debt collection agency, or in some cases lease the debt to a company to try to collect.

This is what will cause you to have a negative item on your credit report.
