I whole heartedly agree with this‼️

I say this because I want you to win.

If you paid off that car note and there’s nothing wrong with the car, keep it. Seriously, drive that thing until the wheels fall off.

People don’t realize how valuable it is to have a reliable car that gets you to work, gets you back home, and allows you to keep going to work without a monthly payment hanging over your head.

There are people signing up for $700 car payments right now knowing damn well they can’t afford them.

Think about what you could do with $700 a month instead. Save it. Invest it. Build an emergency fund. Put it toward your future. That one decision alone could completely change your financial situation over time.

If the car is paid off and it still runs fine, keep driving it. Ride that car until the wheels fall off.

Too many people believe that where they are today financially is where they will always be. That the mistakes they've made or the setbacks they've experienced somehow define their future.

They don't.

Your past is part of your story, but it doesn't have to determine what comes next.

You can learn from it. You can make different choices. You can take back control and begin creating a stronger financial future for yourself.

It's never too late to rewrite your story—one of empowerment, strength, and financial confidence.

When you give money to someone you love, I want you to ask yourself two questions:

✅ Can you afford to give it?
✅ Does your help keep them powerless—or help them become powerful?

If your adult child continually needs help with car payments, rent or groceries, you have to look at what's really going on. Are they living beyond their means because they know you will subsidize them?

Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is pull back and say: We have helped you. Now you have to figure it out. And we have enough faith in you that you can.

If somebody paid off every debt you have tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’re doing?

A car may be a need—but it's an expensive one.

The goal should be to pay the least amount possible to meet your need for a car, get the loan paid off as soon as possible, and then drive that car for years without owing a payment.

With proper maintenance, the goal should be to drive your car for as long as it's safe and reliable—150,000 miles or more.

And once the loan is paid off? Keep driving.

Instead of trading it in for another car payment, put the money you were spending on that payment into savings for your future.

That's how you build real financial security.
