My dad's coverage could not give us another conversation with him. It could not quiet every ache or make saying goodbye easy.

But knowing he had coverage brought peace as our family sat together and discussed his final arrangements.

That matters.

In the middle of grief, even a little reassurance can mean something to a family.

Every family's circumstances are different. I am speaking from our experience, with gratitude for that measure of peace and deep love for my father.

On October 3, I lost my father, Dan Brinson III.

Before I am the Founder & CEO of Brinson Financial Group, I am his son. And right now, I am a son learning how to live with a loss that has touched me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

I can talk about preparation professionally. Living through this personally reaches a different part of my heart.

My dad did have life insurance coverage. Knowing that brought our family peace as we came together to discuss his final arrangements. It did not take away the heartbreak. It gave us a measure of reassurance during a deeply painful time.

I am sharing this because families deserve both compassion and clear information when they face loss.

Call the people you love. Say what needs to be said. When you are ready, have the conversations that help your family understand your wishes.

Dad, I love you. Your name and your place in my heart remain. 🕊️

Four years ago, our Founder & CEO, Dan Brinson IV, was recognized as one of his agency’s Top Producers and an Executive Council Agent with New York Life, earning the opportunity to represent the Jacksonville office on the national stage at the Executive Council Conference in Austin, Texas.

It was an important milestone. But it was only one chapter.

Today, that journey has evolved into Brinson Financial Group, a firm Dan built around a team of licensed professionals, specialists, and consultants committed to helping individuals, families, and business owners create, build, and preserve wealth through education, insurance, and practical financial guidance.

With more than 17 years of experience spanning education, management, entrepreneurship, and financial services, Dan continues to lead with a commitment to service, excellence, and positive change.

Beyond Brinson Financial Group, he serves as Founder & CEO of Proud Fathers and President & Chairman of the Dan Brinson IV Foundation, Inc., while remaining actively engaged in numerous professional, civic, and community organizations.

And while much has changed professionally, some of the most meaningful growth has happened at home.

Four years ago, Dan was the proud father of Destiny, 13; Dan, 8; and Daxton, 3.

Today, they are 17, 12, and 7. ❤️
