How to Qualify:
Limited-Income Senior Exemption:
Must have a Homestead Exemption on the property.
Be 65 years or older as of January 1, 2024.
Meet limited income requirements (total household income under $36,614 for 2024).
Applies to county and municipal millages (tax rates).
Long-Term Residency Senior Exemption:
Must have a Homestead Exemption on the property.
Be 65 years or older as of January 1, 2024.
Have lived on the property for at least 25 uninterrupted years.
Meet limited income requirements.
Property value must be less than $250,000.
Exempts the City of Jacksonville's portion of property taxes.
How to Apply:
Complete the Homestead and Related Tax Exemptions Application (Duval 501) and the Statement of Income (DR501sc).
Apply by March 1, 2024!
