Exploring a career change naturally comes with questions:
Will I be trained? Will I be supported? Is this legitimate? I’m a Partner with New York Life in Jacksonville, and my role is to recruit and develop financial professionals who want clear expectations, strong coaching, and meaningful work. Our team works primarily in-office, because that’s where development happens fastest — especially early

on. I’m hands-on with training, licensing support, and helping people build the skills needed to succeed long-term in financial services. In 2025, our team was nationally recognized as a Top 50 New York Life Team, reflecting consistency, standards, and how we develop people — not shortcuts. This career isn’t for everyone. It is a strong fit for people who are coachable, accountable, and care about doing the right thing for clients. If you’re local to Jacksonville and curious about a career in financial services, I’m always open to a conversation. A family tradition we have on Memorial Day is starting the morning at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with the Travis Manion Foundation’s Honor Project.

Walking the grounds today with our girls, seeing all the flags, and answering their questions about why we remember days like this hits differently as a parent.

It’s important to me that they grow up understanding Memorial Day is about the men and women who gave their lives serving our country — and that freedom and opportunity come with sacrifice.

Grateful for those who served, remembering those who never made it home, and appreciative of the volunteers and organizations helping keep that remembrance alive for the next generation.

Hope everyone has a meaningful Memorial Day.

Recently spent some time at Bartram Springs Elementary School's Career Day.

Really impressive to see the level of dedication from the teachers and staff, along with the parents who took time out of their schedules to help expand what these kids see as possible.

In our room alone we had a chaplain, firefighter, HR professional, health insurance broker… and me. And there were plenty more careers represented across the other classrooms.

One thing that stood out was how many kids said they want to be YouTubers.

But when we dug a little deeper and talked through some questions and a simple game, a lot of them shared that what they really want is to make money so they can help other people.

That part stuck with me.

It’s easy to focus on what people say they want to do. It’s more important to understand why.

Grateful to be part of a day like that.

Proud to see the team continuing to perform at a high level.

Congrats to Delickson Souffrant, Tim Wilson, and Aron Livingston on being recognized as Agents of the Month for April.

Well earned.

What really stands out to me isn’t just the results. It’s how they show up every day, put in the work, and keep pushing to get better.

That’s what leads to results over time.

Grateful to be building alongside people like this and excited to see what’s ahead for each of them.

The right people, in the right environment, with high standards. Good things tend to happen.

Really proud to see Raj Balasubramanian recognized as Rookie Agent of the Month for March.

Well earned.

What stands out most isn’t just the result — it’s the consistency, discipline, and willingness to learn that got him there.

That’s what drives outcomes over time.

Grateful to have people like Raj on the team and excited to see what’s ahead for him.

The right people, in the right environment, with high standards — good things tend to happen.

Tomorrow I’ll be at the Tri-Base Career Fair here in Jacksonville.

If you’re a veteran, transitioning service member, or military spouse exploring what’s next — it’s a great event with a wide range of opportunities.

I’ll be there with Hal Willard and Derick Marken — both Navy veterans who’ve built strong careers after service.

These events bring a mix of people and paths.

Some are looking for their next role.

Others are thinking bigger — about ownership, leadership, and building something long-term.

If you’re in that second group, I’d especially encourage you to stop by and introduce yourself.

Even if timing or fit isn’t right, I’m always happy to point good people in the right direction.
