Attention:

“Tropical Storm Erin continues to churn from the eastern Atlantic towards the central tropical Atlantic this morning. This system does have some Saharan dust to battle through; however, it is heading west into an area much more favorable for strengthening in the coming days.

Erin is expected to become our first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season by Thursday, followed by a major hurricane (Cat 3) this weekend. Latest long range model runs haven’t changed much and continue to show a northerly turn in the western Atlantic next week. We’re relying on a strong ridge of high pressure to help steer this storm away from the U.S. but exactly WHEN next week that turn happens is crucial. Stay tuned!”
