Married to the military? You know the drill.

The midnight home repair, the sick kid, the to-do list that never ends, and somehow, life keeps moving.

Military spouses juggle A LOT, often with a few curveballs thrown in just for funsies.

The Married to the Military: Now What? event hosted by Naval Station Mayport’s MWR and Fleet & Family, was all about supporting spouses as they navigate the realities of military life.

Jake Paschall and Douglas Harp were there to connect with attendees and support the Mayport military community.

Because “you knew what you signed up for” doesn’t mean you have to figure it all out alone.

Long-term care planning can get complicated pretty quickly. Why not start planning now?

Over the weekend, we hosted a Long-Term Care event at Veterans United Brewery with Robin Raef, Director of Long-Term Care Solutions, and the conversation covered a lot of ground. We dug into how different types of care may be funded, from Medicare and Medicaid to VA benefits and self-funding.

For military families, there can be another layer to consider. Military pensions and VA disability can factor into Medicaid eligibility, making it important to understand how the different pieces fit together.

The biggest takeaway? Start the conversation and start planning.

this week highlights a valuable program for active-duty service members preparing to transition out of the military: SkillBridge.

SkillBridge gives eligible service members an opportunity to gain civilian work experience through industry training and internships during their final months of service.

At CPO Pride Day Jacksonville, we had two SkillBridge interns representing local First Command offices. It’s been great to see the knowledge and experience they bring to the team while getting a look at what a civilian career can look like after military service.
