Meet Griffin Collins 🤝

We introduced Griffin a couple of months ago when he joined us, but given that he’s already halfway through his internship and has made a meaningful contribution to the team, we figured it was worth highlighting him again.

So far, Griffin has participated in 20+ client meetings and played a role in the prep and follow-up for each one. He’s also gotten a glimpse into what it can look like to help run and grow a business through our weekly team meetings, sitting in on marketing calls, and even attending community events.

Most importantly... he’s helped Will improve his golf game ⛳

We’re grateful to have Griffin as part of the team this summer and look forward to seeing all that he continues to accomplish.

Kelsey helps keep things moving behind the scenes at Grounded Financial Planning. From operations and organization to paperwork and client service details, she plays an important role in making sure our planning process runs smoothly.

Originally from New Orleans and now based in Georgia, Kelsey brings six years of financial planning experience to the team, having previously served as a paraplanner and analyst. She also holds a degree in art from Columbia State, which gives her a unique blend of creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, gaming, watching movies, and spending time at home with her three cats and dog.

This month, we're taking some time to reintroduce the people behind Grounded Financial Planning. First up:

Meet Leigh Ann! ✨

Leigh Ann has worked in financial services since 2005, after beginning her career as a middle school teacher. Today, she helps make sure clients feel cared for, connected, and supported throughout the planning process. Around the office, she does a little bit of everything: welcoming clients, keeping Will in line, celebrating milestones, helping plan events, and making the office feel warm and inviting.

A proud Union University graduate, Leigh Ann is active in her church, sings in the choir, and loves spending time with her husband, Bill, and their two adult children.

Outside of the office, you can usually find her bundled up on the couch watching a true crime documentary🍿.

For the second year in a row, we had the privilege of supporting United Way of West Tennessee by sponsoring and attending their First Ladies Luncheon!

We were able to fill two tables with friends, family, and clients, which made the experience even more meaningful. Being surrounded by so many inspiring women from across the region is always a highlight of the year.

Thank you to United Way of West Tennessee for hosting such a special event, and to everyone who joined us at the table. We’re already looking forward to next year!

We're pumped to welcome Griffin Collins to Grounded Financial Planning as our Financial Planning Intern!

Griffin is a rising senior at Freed-Hardeman University, where he’s pursuing a BBA in Finance (Financial Planning) and a BA in Law & Politics.

He’s built an impressive academic track record, holding a 4.0 GPA, earning President’s List honors, and being recognized as a Freed-Hardeman Honors Student, Sewell Scholar, and member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

Griffin has also spent time working as an undergraduate legal clerk at Porter, Banks, Baldwin, & Shaw, PLLC and interning with Senator Mitch McConnell.

This summer, he’ll be supporting our team in the financial planning process, meeting preparation, and client service work.

We’re glad to have him on the team and excited to see what’s ahead for him.
