UPDATE: The USDA sent an email announcement today
The USDA APHIS has delayed the implementation of the Horse Protection Act (HPA) amended rules until February 1, 2026—but this is NOT a cancellation.
We must keep up the pressure to protect our horse community.
📢 Take Action NOW:
✅ Submit a Public Comment (March 21 – May 20, 2025): Tell APHIS why these rules must be stopped.

✅ Write to Your Lawmakers via Civiclick - see link below
Let Congress know the PAST Act is the same harmful policy. Our voices matter.
✅ Stay Engaged & Spread the Word: This fight isn’t over—we must stand together
APHIS is requesting feedback on whether to extend the delay further. This is our opportunity to push back and demand they halt these harmful regulations permanently.
🔥 Comment. Write. Share. Protect our horses. Protect our rights.

With the revised Horse Protection Act (HPA) set to go into effect on April 2, we have a distinct but limited window of opportunity to make sure that the egregious and extremist agenda-driven rules are discarded. We have only 13 days to make sure the revised HPA is not implemented, but you must do your part.
