Today on the blog, we're sharing another photo story! As spring comes to an end and we are about to welcome summer, Colton Creasy shares his perspective of walking downtown this past spring and seeing the potential bloom just like the spring buds.

"The light makes us pay attention to the details and appreciate a moment of growth. Like spring waking up the world after a period of rest, downtown is aglow with potential. A bud on a branch of the city ready to bloom.”

There's so much new public art in downtown Jackson and this sidewalk mural at The Carnegie Center for Arts and History an incredible addition to this corner. This mural was created by artist team Katie Howerton and Hilary Griffith and it is filled with so much history about The Carnegie through the years. ‼️Hattie Mae’s Southern Style Kitchen Sets July 4th Weekend Opening in Former Greyhound Station

https://talknwesttn.com/hattie-maes-southern-style-kitchen-sets-july-4th-opening-in-former-greyhound-station/

The historic former Greyhound bus station in downtown Jackson Tennessee is getting a major injection of flavor and life. Renovation crews are officially at work transforming the iconic building into Hattie Mae’s Southern Style Kitchen, a new Southern comfort food destination set to open for business over the Fourth of July weekend.

Owner Aaron Newton promises an interior makeover that honors the building's mid-century roots while introducing a modern, upbeat atmosphere. Guests can look forward to a beautiful indoor dining space, a fully-stocked bar serving up signature drinks, decadent deserts, and a spacious outdoor patio perfect for summer lounging.

Hattie Mae’s is aiming to strike the perfect balance between slow cooked flavor and fast paced downtown life. The menu will lean heavily into hearty, expertly seasoned Southern staples, ranging from elevated comfort dishes like oxtails, lamb chops, and grits to massive steaks and burgers.

For the downtown lunch crowd, the restaurant’s biggest game-changer might be its Express Lane.

Fast Food, Upgraded: Hattie Mae’s Express Lane guarantees a hot, high-quality, chef-driven Southern lunch in under 10 minutes, catering perfectly to local professionals on a tight schedule.

Whether you are looking for a quick, delicious weekday lunch, a relaxed dinner on the patio, or a late-night cocktail at the bar, Hattie Mae’s is shaping up to be the explosive hit of the holiday weekend.
