In my spare time, I am active in the local Jackson community as a member of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Jackson Exchange Club. When I have some down time, I enjoy playing my guitar and spending time outside cycling on the open road. My team has earned awards both company and industry wide by providing quality customer service and insurance – including State Farm President’s Club and State Farm Ambassador Travel. I didn’t realize how bad that Memphis storm actually was.

Saturday’s bow echo took out power for about 140,000 MLGW customers. Winds 60 to 80+, trees through roofs and cars, people still in the dark days later in 90-degree heat. FOX13 says it’s MLGW’s 7th-most damaging storm on record.

A tree on the house and a tree on the car are two different claims.

As thousands of households approach the 48th hour without power, families on Tuesday scrambled to take food from their freezers to loved ones’ homes.
