Acreage Reporting season is here. As you review your reports, please keep these important reminders in mind:

- If there are fields you no longer farm, please indicate this. We can delete them so they do not show up in the future.
-If you have new ground that you have purchased or are cash renting, please indicate this as well. This information should also be on your FSA producer print, which is another reason to have that sent to us if you certify your acres.
-If you certify your acres at the FSA office, please have them email us a copy of your producer prints and maps. These documents will ensure that what you report to us and what you report to the FSA will match.

If you cannot certify your acres with the Farm Service Agency office before July 15th, please have them email us or send a copy to your agent soon after your appointment.

Important Reminders for Planting Season
As the season progresses, here are a few key reminders to help protect your coverage:

Prevented Planting:
If weather prevents you from planting, contact your agent within 72 hours after the final plant date. You must also certify PP acres at the FSA office and record them on your acreage reporting form.

Crop Destruction:
Do not destroy any crop until an adjuster has appraised it or given you permission to do so.

Planting a Second Crop:
Before planting a second crop, you must call your agent. If your initial crop fails or planting was prevented, you can plant a second crop only after the late planting period ends.
