Personal testimony!!!!

I purchased some headphones while on vacation in Las Vegas. When I went back to the hotel, they worked perfectly. However, after charging them for some time, the headphones did not work at all as they would not turn on. I contacted the store when I went back to NJ only to be told that there were no refunds and that I would have to exchange the product at my cost, which was totally unacceptable.

I spoke with my NJ law firm who connected me with the firm in Nevada. The Nevada law firm wrote a letter on my behalf. This led to a response from the home office of the store, on Thanksgiving Thursday at that, resulting in a full refund of $325!

Legal support can make a world of difference! This story highlights the power of access to a legal network, even across state lines. It’s frustrating when companies don’t initially offer fair resolutions, but having a law firm step in on our behalf levels the playing field. A lady & her son were at the food court in the Orlando airport when they saw a mouse. Then a few more mice. Followed by more mice. They told the workers but were jokingly told that they were in Orlando & those were just Minnie & Mickey.

She didn’t find it funny. She called her law firm & advised them of the situation. The law firm wrote a letter to the airline. The airline reached out to the member with their deepest apologies as well as 2 round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the world.

Although this an interesting & somewhat humorous situation, it quickly turned serious. The presence of multiple mice in an airport food court, especially in a major location like Orlando, can raise health concerns, so it’s understandable that she didn’t find the joke about “Minnie & Mickey” amusing.

By involving her law firm and addressing the issue directly with the airline, she was able to escalate the situation effectively. The airline offering two round-trip tickets as compensation shows that they took the matter seriously and wanted to maintain customer satisfaction, even though they weren’t directly responsible for the food court.

A gentleman was having some work done on his house by his friend, who was a contractor. To cover the cost of unexpected expenses, the homeowner gave him access to his credit card. Unbeknownst to him, the contractor was using the credit card for his own personal purchases. These amounted to over $6500. The homeowner contacted his bank to dispute these charges, only to be told that because he had given permission to the contractor to use the card, he was not entitled to a refund. The homeowner then called his in stated provider law firm through our legal service program. The law firm wrote a letter to the bank. This resulted in the bank refunding him the FULL AMOUNT.

This story highlights how valuable it can be to have access to legal support, especially in complex situations. The legal service provider was able to step in and resolve the issue through proper legal channels. It’s a great example of how a letter from an attorney can make a SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE, even when initial attempts to fix the situation don’t succeed. A night to remember in NYC

A young lady was celebrating her 21st birthday with her friends in time square NYC. As they were about to leave, her friends gave her a boxed bottle of champagne as a gift.

At that exact moment, NYPD approached the group, took the bottle of champagne, uncorked it, & poured it on the ground. They then asked for IDs, which none of the girls had. Within minutes, the entire group found themselves arrested, in handcuffs & escorted to the back of a police van. As they were bounced around in the van, the mood went from festive to anxious.

When the time came, the member called her mother who proceeded to call her 24 hour emergency legal access #. They were able to reach an attorney, although it was about 2:30 in the morning. The attorney called into the police department. The result was the member was able to be released that night although the other girls weren’t because they didn’t have access.

A man left his employer last year and they still owed him about $2000 in commissions.

Because the parting wasn't exactly under the best of terms, he found it difficult to collect this last bit of compensation he had earned as his requests for payment went ignored.

He contacted his law firm. They advised him of his rights, informing him that any compensation that remained unpaid once his employment with the company was over was subject to interest, which he was not aware of.

The attorney corresponded with the previous employer on his behalf, advised him before every conversation he had personally with the company, and reviewed all documents throughout the process.

The result?

Instead of two thousand dollars, they agreed to pay him ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!

He was super excited of the results as well as the empowering resources available to make sure he is never taken advantage of or treated unfairly in the future.

This underscores how vital it is to seek professional advice when dealing with complex situations, especially those involving employment and compensation.

The lesson is clear: knowing and standing up for your rights is crucial, as it can prevent you from being taken advantage of and ensure you receive what you're entitled to.

A Fight for Fairness

A gentleman got seriously injured on the job. When his company offered him a $150,000 settlement, he was tempted to accept. However, before doing so, he consulted with his law firm. In a recent downsizing event, 1 of our members demonstrated the value of legal counsel in protecting personal interests. The company had decided to downsize an entire department, & all affected employees were presented with severance agreements to sign. While most employees quickly signed the documents and returned them to HR, 1 took a different approach.

Instead of signing the paperwork immediately, she wisely decided to send it to her law firm for review. After careful examination, her attorney identified a paragraph that could potentially limit her benefits. The law firm advised her to remove the paragraph, marking it with a circle and crossing it out before returning the document to HR.

Upon receiving the modified severance agreement, HR accepted the changes without objection. As a result, this member received an additional $6,000 in her severance package that she would have otherwise missed out on.

Unfortunately, when other employees learned about her success, it was too late for them to take similar action, having already signed and submitted their documents.
