Something drew me to the world of wellness and holistic health many years ago – and I really nerd out. I love learning new tools, practices and modalities I can integrate into my own wellness journey. I have run my own retreats and wellness events and I’ve seen what these practitioners and leaders build.

Something else I’ve also seen: how often their financial lives don’t reflect the depth of what they’ve created in service to others.

Traditional planning models were largely designed around W2 income and corporate structures. They work – and they work well – but they often don’t account for the nuances of running a wellness practice, managing inconsistent revenue/income, or building something that is as much a calling as it is a business.

That’s a gap I genuinely care about closing.

If you’re a naturopath, a wellness business owner, a coach, a content creator who informs and educates, a practitioner who offers various modalities, a team member of a mission-driven company or brand – this is for you. And if you’re not? Be assured that good planning is good planning – and the same thoughtfulness and intention goes into every client relationship and meeting, regardless of industry. I just happen to speak this language fluently, and I saw this area of opportunity to create even MORE ABUNDANCE in service to wellness warriors 🤍

ABUNDANCE in the realm of my profession comes from clarity - and clarity is achieved by courageously choosing to look at the parts of your financial picture that might feel uncomfortable. It’s asking the “what if” questions that you don’t feel excited to ask yourself or your spouse. (How many of you have wondered ‘are we going to be okay?’)

But it’s also about envisioning the future you wish to build for yourself / your family / your business. That IS exciting. And the steps to get there don’t become clear until you can have the conversations and GAIN clarity - preferably with someone who has specialized knowledge, a high level of empathy and understand what is most important to you - who can not only help to develop the road map to your goals, but also to remind you of those goals when it matters and help to prevent you from making emotional decisions that might derail you.

Because let’s face it… our relationship with money isn’t logical — it’s emotional. Maybe even more so when we don’t understand something because we tend avoid things that makes us feel inadequate. And these conversations can be emotional. Which is why it’s so important to have someone you trust, who will keep you steady when your emotions could influence you to make illogical decisions about money.

I would also argue that abundance - in general - comes from the same framework I’ve described here. Just apply to other aspects = relationships / spiritual life / work & career, etc… courageous action to look at what’s not working, ask the uncomfortable questions, dare to envision where you truly want to be in the future, build the roadmap to get there, implore good people to support you and hold you accountable

Goal: normalize having these conversations SOONER. If you don’t “feel” like you’re ready to start planning for your future financially — that may be a sign of resistance and/or scarcity — and my invitation to you is to just take the first step: Have an honest conversation with a professional. I can almost guarantee you’ll leave that conversation feeling lighter and empowered with more knowledge and clarity. Maybe even excited about what’s possible for your future.

My team and I focus much of our work on helping people who are self-employed, entrepreneurs and business owners — because it has been my own reality for 20 years, and I recognize what I wish I had learned early on. This trajectory is not linear. The needs are varied and unique. But what’s possible with proper planning is EXCITING! A conversation costs nothing. 🤍
