In seven years, Community Christian Church's congregation has more than doubled. Over 600 people have been baptized.

But what their pastor is most excited about is something the numbers don't fully capture.

"We've helped a lot of people who had just basically given up on church find a way back to God and his family."

Community Christian Church used a church loan from CDF Capital to build a space for weekend worship. When Kingdom-minded investors place their resources with CDF Capital, they're helping to fund second chances, restored faith, and communities that reach people others have stopped trying to reach.

Are you heading to the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando?

Tommy Heaton from our team will be attending Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders on June 7 and 8, gathering exists to equip, encourage, and inspire the leaders who serve and connect churches across North America.

This year's theme is "Faithful to Multiply." For the associations represented there, multiplication means more churches reaching more people. For CDF Capital, it means being the financial partner helping those churches grow.

If you or someone you know will be in Orlando, we would love to connect. Send us a DM.

After the sprint from Christmas to Easter to Mother’s Day, the summer months can bring moments of slower rhythms in ministry. So now is a good time to pause and ask an honest question: has the pace of the past six months taken a toll on your family, too?

Even family members who aren't on staff can carry the weight of ministry life. Here are four ways it can happen without you realizing it.

1. The need to be perfect. Your family can pick up the unspoken expectation that they need to appear flawless, your spouse most of all. Have regular, open conversations to help them reject that unnecessary burden.

2. Your constant absence. The expectations placed on clergy can be rough and might keep pastors away from home day and night. If that's become the case, sit down with your loved ones to create a family schedule that's sacred, and prioritize that time.

3. Being forced into ministry positions. You are on the church's payroll, not your family. Be an advocate for them when other staff or church members voice the assumption that your spouse or children can or should take on church responsibilities simply because of their relationship to you.

4. Carrying your ministry burden. Many pastors don't have a lot of close friends to talk to about their frustrations, and those feelings get brought home. Be mindful of how you talk about people in the congregation around your family, especially your children.

It's an honor to be called to vocational ministry. As a pastor, you're shepherding a flock that, on some level, includes your family. Aim to protect their hearts, too.

What does church financing look like when it goes beyond the loan?

Holt Christian Church in Lansing, Michigan, spent six years in a season of stagnancy, healing, rebuilding, and rediscovering who they were called to be. When they finally asked the hard question about their future, CDF Capital helped them secure a church loan.
But it didn't stop there.

As partners, CDF Capital came alongside the team, walked through the building, and helped them see what was possible within the footprint they already had. The process took the church through a physical and philosophical renovation — evaluating the way the church operated, the rooms they were attached to, and the vision for what ministry could look like.

It's challenging to find a financial partner who shares your values. Our team understands ministry, not just finance. We will walk with you every step of the way.

Is your church in a season of transition and wondering what's next? DM us. We'd love to hear where you are and talk about what's possible.

Will someone be in heaven because of you?

That's the simple slogan of Creekside Christian Fellowship in Needville, Texas. And in five and a half years, with church financing from CDF Capital, they've been living it out.
15 acres of land purchased. Two buildings built. 113 people baptized into Christ.

That's 113 people whose lives were changed forever.

Church building loans make it possible for congregations like Creekside to stop meeting in borrowed spaces and start building something permanent. And Kingdom-minded investors make those loans possible.

Since 1953, we've served hundreds of churches and thousands of investors who want to grow God's Kingdom with wisdom and care. This is what that looks like.

In 1970, First Christian Church in Newbury Park needed a financial partner willing to see beyond a $40,000 property purchase to the Kingdom work it would support. CDF Capital said yes.

And we’ve kept saying yes.

When the first building was needed in 1973, CDF Capital was there. When growth demanded a new auditorium in 1995, CDF Capital financed it. When the Family Life Center was built in 2004, CDF Capital was there again.

In 2025, First Christian Church celebrated their 60th anniversary and paid off their CDF Capital mortgage. Then they redirected that former payment into a vision fund to help staff afford housing, plant churches in Southern California, and launch a ministry residency program.

"Paying off our mortgage isn't a finish line—it's a launching pad. After 60 years of faithful ministry and with our mortgage now behind us, I am more convinced than ever—we are just getting started." –Pastor Ken LaMont

Since 1953, we've served hundreds of churches and thousands of investors who want to grow God's Kingdom with wisdom and care. This is what that looks like.

Is your church ready to build, but not sure how to fund it?

Whether you are building a new church, converting an existing building into the perfect meeting place, or remodeling your current location, your church building project is going to require capital. Sometimes churches are so overwhelmed by the funds they need to come up with that they drag their feet on moving forward and hurt their momentum.

If you are thinking about moving into a building phase, here are 3 ways to come up with the capital you need.

1. Get a construction loan. Instead of trying to raise all the funds at once, borrowing allows you to get the project done and pay it off over time. The key is finding a lender who understands church finances and is committed to your mission.

2. Take advantage of social media. If your church has a strong online presence, combining it with a crowdfunding effort can help reach people beyond your immediate congregation. When members personally champion the project, people respond.

3. Set up matching grants. Businesses or organizations connected to your church may be willing to match contributions for a set period. Knowing their gift will be doubled motivates people to give quickly and sacrificially.

A building project takes everyone's involvement. But it doesn't have to be done alone.

For years, Echo Life Church in Pensacola set up and tore down every single week in borrowed spaces. Attendance was stuck around 400. The vision was clear, but the resources to fulfill it were not.

When the leadership team went looking for a financial partner, they needed someone faith-driven, experienced, and willing to help shoulder the risks. CDF Capital walked with them through cost increases, change orders, and construction challenges all the way to the finish line.

Today, Echo Life welcomes over 1,200 people each week, serves 150+ children in a state-of-the-art ministry space, and is already expanding again with CDF Capital to meet growing needs.

"So thankful for you and the whole CDF team to get us to this moment. Together we have successfully advanced the Kingdom." — Pastor Joe Driver

This is what church financing looks like when the lender understands ministry, not just finance.

New research from Barna Group asks a question church leaders should be sitting with: Do Americans think a spiritual revival is coming?

The answer is more hopeful than you might expect.

Nearly 3 in 10 U.S. adults believe a spiritual revival is likely in the next 12 months, rising to 38 percent among Gen Z. Prayer, young generations turning toward God, and a search for meaning and purpose top the list of reasons revival-minded Americans believe one is near.

Barna CEO David Kinnaman noted that when a generation turns toward faith not out of tradition or habit but out of a genuine drive for something deeper, the Church's response to that search may prove more consequential than any single cultural trend.

If revival comes, is your church positioned to meet it? That's a question worth praying through. And for church leaders thinking about what growth requires, it's also a practical one as you consider space, staff, and the financial foundation to receive growth when it arrives.

What do you believe is stirring in the Church right now?
(If your church is ready to talk about the next step, DM us. We'd love to connect.)
