Iowa Park! I don't even know where to begin to tell y'all how awesome you are!
Y'ALL SHOWED UP BIG!
Our final count was 581 cases of water donated by the Iowa Park community to the Iowa Park Volunteer Fire Department! And yes, WE BEAT BURK!
The competition was fun, but more than anything, this just goes to show what an incredible community we live in. In just four days, the people of Iowa Park came together and donated 581 cases of water to support our fire department! That's something to be proud of!
From those who donated entire pallets to those who donated just one case, every single donation is appreciated more than you know.
A special thank you to Nick Collazo, who took time out of his day every time a pallet was delivered to drive his forklift over to the fire station and unload it for us, even in the pouring rain!
Also, a huge thank you to my dad, Ken Cooper, who helped load and unload all of the individual cases, also in the pouring rain. We couldn't have done it without y'all!
And thank you to Steve Thornton with the fire department for meeting us at the station every time we had a delivery.
I'll be making separate posts recognizing everyone who donated half and full pallets, but please know how truly thankful I am for everyone who donated. Whether it was one case or an entire pallet, you helped make this happen!
This is what makes Iowa Park such a special place to call home. I'm proud to be part of this community!
And one last thing... scroll to the last few pictures to see our Burk office, Kurszewski Insurance Agency, sporting their Hawk green!
Now, everybody get out to Burk tonight and support the Hawks!
