This is 52!!
Thank you all for the birthday wishes!!
Got a late workout done because my goal is to stay healthy and outlive my father so that means I have to make it to 53!! Lol
One more year and the rest is bonus! 🤣

Seriously though, when I hit 42 and realized that in 10 years I would be the same age as my father when he had a massive heart attack and died and then realized that I was headed in the same direction.... I knew I had to do something!

Now here I am healthier physically and mentally than I have ever been and I made it!

Here's to another year and working every day to try and make sure I get to spend as much time as possible with the people I love!

BUDGET!!

WAIT…hear me out! I know that creating a budget is the most basic financial advice that gets thrown around…just like “drink more water.” But could this be advice that’s worth revisiting? Knowing where your money stands is empowering and allows you to make informed decisions about your finances.

I work with people and families to help them create a solid budget and plan to help them find their way out of debt and guess what....

So many families are drowning in debt right now and feel like there's no way out! But there is!

Life is not a straight road....

And so many times we forget that no matter the twist and turns it can take, ultimately, it's OUR job to course correct and learn the lessons that they're here to teach us!

It's no one else's responsibility or job to keep you happy!

IT'S YOUR JOB! YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!

Stop looking to other people, things, a bank account or anything other than what's inside of you to make and keep you happy!

Find what you need to INSIDE YOURSELF!

We all need to understand that expecting others to make things better for us will, a lot of times, end in disappointment because people are flawed and don't always have the best of intentions or don't think or believe the same things we do.

So make sure that your happiness comes from within and not dependent on someone or something else!!

Reminder to us all...

We say we want to see change in this world. I see posts all the time about "be kind because you have know idea what someone is going through" but then I see those same people (and yes I have done it myself. I'm flawed) ridicule and blast others for a difference of opinion, a difference in how they raise their children, whether or not they stay in a marriage, etc etc. And we keep going round and round.

We've all been on the receiving end of that pointed finger and been made to feel like we're stupid, worthless, bad, (insert your own here) and we've ALL been the giver of those feelings to others. (I'm sorry to burst your bubble but its true)

From both sides of this, here's what we need to remember.....

NOT ONE PERSON KNOWS EVERY DETAIL OF YOUR LIFE EXCEPT YOU!!!

YOU are the only person who has been there for ever second of your life.
YOU are the only person who has had to endure the exact battles that you've had to endure.
YOU are the only person who's experienced YOUR life exactly the way you have.
Which means YOU are the expert on YOU!

Not your mother or father, not your siblings, not your kids, not your pastor or even your best friend....

ONLY YOU!

So stop allowing others to tell you how you should or shouldn't feel and take responsibility for your OWN life and actions! Because that is the person you will have to live with most for the rest of your life!

And yes..... BE KIND!! And remember, just like no one knows your complete story, you don't know ANYONE ELSE'S complete story!

Give grace and you'll receive grace!
