In Minnesota, Medicare Supplements are community rated.

This means whether you are:

65 or 95, male or female, have an extensive medical history

You will pay the same amount as the other people on your Medicare Supplement with a couple exceptions -

Everyone on the same Supplement will pay the same amount so long as you are not a smoker and you had a guaranteed issue right when getting onto your Medicare Supplement.

This can mean upfront prices for the average 65 year old just getting onto a Supplement in Minnesota can seem inflated when comparing to the prices the average 65 year pays in other states. This will even because you end up paying a steadier rate down the road.
