We all need to belong to a tribe or maybe a few tribes… 💯💯💯

Outside of family and a small (very small) inner-circle of good (very good) friends, I have a few extremely important tribes I commit my time and energy to.

The Boardroom Mastermind is one of the most important and longest I’ve belonged to, and I’m excited to be heading out to help facikuate our Q2 meeting.

At the larger size this group has grown to now, it’s crazy that the level of entrepreneur and quality of human has also jumped exponentially too.

There’s a magnetic pull within this tribe now, and the right people are drawn in at the right times, and more importantly - the time, energy, emotional and financial commitment, along with the application process keep the wrong people out.

Negative, small-minded, fluffy, risk adverse, skeptical, slow moving, know-it-all, non-action taking people are literally repelled from this group, keeping the culture quality extremely high.

If you don’t have a tribe (or two) of like minded, caring and open people to call home - I highly suggest you ask around until you find one.

Don’t delay and settle, the right peer support can make all of the difference in the world…

We’ll always feel an “echo” boomeranging back to us based on the energy we put out.

What you fight, will fight you back - and what you love, will love you back… maybe just not how you expected.

This is much more about your perspective than most people understand…

Our perspective drives our thoughts and feelings, and that dictates what energy we give out in response.

And as I said, what we put out into the world, circles back around in like-kind fashion.

This isn’t a probability or a possibility, it’s a guarantee. Eventually, we always get back what we put out!

When you choose to invest into something (whether that’s money, time or just your attention), the return you receive is usually more about “why, how and when” you invested - rather than “what” you invested in.

Your intentions matter as much or more than your actions (this is deep and I’m sure some won’t agree, I’ve got a whole post coming on this soon).

The perspectives you filter life through are SIGNIFICANTLY affected by who you choose to hang around and spend time with.

Thus, your circle greatly influences how you experience life.

The older (and hopefully wiser) I get, I put great care into choosing who I give my time to.

The events I speak at, the groups I belong to, the clients I coach and the retreats I facilitate all have one thing In common - they are heavily geared towards meticulously curating the people who are involved.

I’m excited to spend time with The Boardroom Mastermind this week in San Diego.

Kent Clothier, Eddie Rosefield, Jerry Statham and the team they’ve assembled are taking masterminds to a whole new level.

What they are doing not only for the business owners, but their spouses, kids and employees too is game changing.

As active real estate business owner groups go, the caliber of people and level of achievement in this group is second to none other - and only getting better.

All of the expertise, assets, assistance, support and care that is going into the new aspects of this group in 2024 is off the charts.

I’m proud to be on this group’s board of directors, and feel blessed to be trusted enough to play a part in helping facilitate these meetings and guide these members.

PS. Be on the look out for some pics and info from a very deep and intimate men’s retreat I’m facilitating this weekend.

I’m flying directly from CA to Austin after the mastermind and myself along with a small group of men will stay at a private ranch outside of town.

We’ll work with Shaman, ancient sacred medicines and multiple other modalities to:

-heal our bodies and souls,

-uncover what’s holding us back,

-and better define what major steps need to be taken,

….so we can move more fully into our purposes and more deeply pursue our missions as men.

Estate planning is a necessary, but not very fun, part of being a responsible adult. Luckily, a good estate planning attorney can help make the process easier with better results. But you have to take the first step.

To get you thinking about creating or updating your estate plan, here’s a short quiz (just 6 questions) about Indiana estate planning law. After you take this quiz, we will email you your results.

Good luck!

Rick Snyder called on residents to vote out liberal Marion County prosecutor Ryan Mears in the November elections, saying "Indianapolis deserves better."

In this video we outline key differences between a quitclaim deed and a warranty deed.

Robert Simpson has a lengthy history with the criminal justice system and is a Habitual Offender due to his four prior felony convictions from 2014 to 2017. Then, starting in 2020 he committed three new felonies: Domestic Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, another case of Domestic Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, and a third for Carrying a Handgun without a License with a prior conviction, as well as Possession of Co***ne.

Team Mears had the ability to send Robert Simpson to prison for up to 24 years because of his history and the seriousness of his offenses - including multiple crimes of violence. INSTEAD, THEY CHOSE to NOT file a Habitual Offender and on June 30, 2022, Team Mears drafted and signed a plea deal in which Simpson received a sentence of two years in DOC and one year of probation. They were sure to credit Simpson for the time he had already sat in jail, so he'll be home for Christmas!

Oh, and he has a history of violating home detention and probation multiple times. What's next?

Introducing the first Ryan Mears Sweetheart Deal of the Week! Each week, we will highlight a recent violent or repeat offender in Marion County who Mears didn't hold accountable.

First up, Demetrio Kent. An habitual offender, Demetrio was previously convicted for Felony Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery in 2002 (his probation later got revoked), Felony Dealing of Narcotics in 2007, and received a ten year sentence, and then Felony Possession of a Narcotic in mid 2020.

Fifteen days later, Demetrio was arrested for Level 5 Felony Possession of M**h in October 2020. If charged and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law for his latest crime, he would have been facing more than eight years in prison.

His sentence? Team Mears proposed and drafted the plea deal: fourteen days in jail.

Ryan Mears talks about his high conviction rate at trial, but this is just part of the story. Roll the dice and pick a day in the office, and you’ll see plea deal after plea deal. Handing out sweetheart plea deals at the drop of a hat is the foundation of his inflated conviction rates, and it must be called out. We intend to do so.
