We are proud to welcome our Summer Interns, AJ Tippner and Eyera Nogues, to the Cooke Financial Group team.

AJ is studying Finance and Accounting at Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and Eyera is studying Finance and Risk Management at Lacy School of Business - Butler University.

Both are drawn to the relationship-driven side of wealth management and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients’ lives.

Throughout the summer, they will support research initiatives and gain firsthand experience in the work that supports strong client relationships.

Earlier this month, at the Franklin US Open Pickleball Championships, Brian Cooke won a gold medal and a silver medal in men’s doubles events.

He also had a front-row seat to watch his family play. His wife, Amy, won matches in the women’s senior pro division, while his daughter, Anna, competed in women’s doubles and mixed doubles events.

This year’s US Open in Naples, Florida had over 3,750 athletes compete across different divisions. Participants ranged in age from 8 to 88, representing all 50 states and 53 countries. Approximately 55,000 fans attended the tournament.

We spent time this week in Louisville, Kentucky at the Sanctuary Wealth Investment Management Symposium (IMS).

The sessions focused on what's changing and what actually matters. A few takeaways we’re bringing back:

• Access is expanding. New investment opportunities are available, but selectivity matters more than ever.
• Technology is raising the bar. Better tools are improving decision-making, but they don’t replace discipline.
• Conversations are shifting. Clients want clarity and context, not more data or predictions.

Last week, John Rapp and John J. Cooke returned to Bloomington for Indiana University Bloomington's Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Connections Day.

Both are IU alums and serve as wealth advisors on our team. They spent the day with students and emerging professionals, sharing insights and helping them explore what a career in wealth management can look like.

We think about this industry in generations. Showing up for those conversations is part of how we stay connected to the work and the communities behind it. Developing the next generation of advisors is something we take seriously. It's part of how we think about this profession and our responsibility to the broader community we serve.
