🌟 Office Update for Good Friday 🌟

Dear valued customers and friends,
In observance of Good Friday, the Bart Hile State Farm office will be closing early on Friday, April 3rd at noon.
Good Friday is a solemn Christian holy day that commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary. For many, it's a time of reflection, prayer, and remembrance of the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity's sins — which is why it's called "Good" Friday, as it represents hope, redemption, and the path to Easter Sunday.
We hope you and your families have a meaningful and peaceful holiday. Our team will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 6th.
If you need immediate assistance before we close, please don't hesitate to call us at (317) 784-5044 or visit our website at myindyinsurance.com.
Thank you for trusting the Bart Hile State Farm team with your insurance needs. We're here to help protect what matters most to you!

Happy Presidents' Day season from Bart Hile State Farm! 🇺🇸

As we approach this holiday, let's celebrate the enduring legacies of great American leaders:
George Washington, our nation's first president and the indispensable leader of the Revolutionary War, set the standard for selfless service by voluntarily stepping down after two terms. He wisely said, 'Perseverance and spirit have done wonders in all ages.'
Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator who preserved the Union during the Civil War and issued the Emancipation Proclamation, reminded us of unity and progress with words like, 'A house divided against itself cannot stand,' and 'I am a slow walker, but I never walk backwards.'
Ronald Reagan, who championed American optimism, economic renewal, and strength against tyranny, inspired millions by declaring, 'If we love our country, we should also love our countrymen,' and believing in limitless potential: 'There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination and wonder.'
Their leadership continues to guide us today!

Reminder: Our office will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, for Presidents' Day. We'll reopen Tuesday, February 17th, ready to help with your insurance needs.

Wishing you a safe, reflective, and patriotic holiday weekend ahead. Thank you for choosing State Farm!

❄️ Office Closure Update – Monday, January 26, 2026 ❄️
Due to the ongoing heavy snow storm, Marion County is currently under a red-level Travel Warning (the highest advisory), and unsafe road conditions persist across Indianapolis.
The strong winds are blowing the snow, creating whiteout conditions in spots and making travel even more dangerous and unpredictable.
For the safety of our team and customers, the Bart Hile State Farm agency will be closed on Monday.
We truly appreciate your understanding—your well-being (and ours!) is the top priority during this severe winter weather.
We'll monitor conditions closely and keep this page updated with any changes to our office hours as things improve and we prepare to reopen. Stay safe, stay indoors if possible, bundle up, and check back here for the latest!

🚨 Freezing Weather Ahead – Let’s Talk Frozen Pipes! 🚨
With freezing temperatures and a winter storm expected this weekend, now is the time to take a few simple steps to help protect your home from frozen or burst pipes.
Here are some easy prevention tips: ❄️ Let faucets drip slightly – moving water is less likely to freeze
❄️ Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
❄️ Set your thermostat to a consistent temperature, even overnight
❄️ Insulate exposed pipes (especially in basements, crawl spaces, and garages)
❄️ Disconnect outdoor hoses and shut off exterior water lines if possible
If temperatures drop extremely low: 🚿 Keep water running at a small trickle
🔥 Never use open flames or unsafe heat sources to thaw pipes
Frozen pipes can lead to costly water damage, so a little prevention goes a long way!
👉 Please keep an eye on our page for any updates regarding delayed openings or office closures due to the winter storm this weekend.
Stay warm, stay safe, and as always—reach out if you have questions!

❄️ Winter Storm Alert: Stay Safe, Prepared – Including Your Pets! ❄️

Hey Indianapolis neighbors! With the upcoming winter storm bringing heavy snow, bitterly cold temps, and wind chills dropping well below zero this weekend, it's time to double-check your preparations. At State Farm, we're all about protecting what matters most – your family, home, vehicle... and your furry family members too!

For Your Car – Emergency Kit Essentials:

Blankets or sleeping bags
Extra warm clothes (hats, gloves, socks)
Flashlight with extra batteries
First-aid kit
Jumper cables, ice scraper, and small shovel
Non-perishable snacks and bottled water
Phone charger and portable power bank

Pro tip: Charge your phone fully and share travel plans if you're heading out.

At Home – Winter Readiness Checklist:

Stock non-perishable food, water (3+ days per person), and medications
Gather flashlights, batteries, and a battery-powered radio
Extra blankets and warm layers
Charge devices and consider backup power
Never use grills/generators indoors!

Pet Safety Tips – Keep Your Furry Friends Warm & Protected:

Bring pets indoors during extreme cold – if it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them! Limit outdoor time and watch for signs of hypothermia (shivering, weakness, or seeking warm spots to burrow).

Prepare a pet emergency kit:

Several days' worth of food/water in waterproof containers, medications, sturdy leash/harness/carrier, litter (for cats), bedding/blankets, and current ID tags or microchip info.

Protect paws from ice, salt, and chemicals – use pet-safe booties, paw balm, or petroleum jelly; wipe paws after walks to prevent licking irritants.

Never leave pets in a car (it can turn into a freezer), and ensure outdoor animals (if any) have insulated, dry shelter with unfrozen water.

Keep antifreeze and de-icers out of reach – they're toxic!

If the storm brings damage to your home, car, or property, we're here to help file claims and get you back on track. Reach out anytime to review your coverage – better safe than sorry!

Stay warm, drive carefully, and give those pets extra cuddles. We've got this together! 💙🐶🐱
