This message goes out to my friends and loved ones who like many others; have NOT planned by putting their “Documents of Love” in place to protect their family.
Did you know 70% of all Americans don’t have a Will or Revokable Trust in place to protect and transfer their asset to their heirs?
An additional fact is 90% of all Americans don’t have a Living Will, Health Care Power of Attorney or a Financial Durable Power of Attorney in place just in case of incapacitation!
In planning for the future, most people are under the impression a simple Will is all they need for their family. But if one doesn’t pass away and should become incapacitated - a simple Will doesn’t give instructions on how they want to continue to live, nor does it give their loved ones the access or ability to make financial decisions on their behalf. A simple Will only give guidance for after death situations.
In most cases, having a simple Will leads directly to the Probate Court processing the estate. This process increases the expenses to the estate, costing the heirs additional fees.
My point to this message - There are cost savings options if you plan properly. I would like to schedule some time to discuss your plans to protect your family and heirs in the future.
