Looking to add an outbuilding to your property?
Always check your local city or county building codes first.
Also, check any regulations with your HOA on any restrictions.
Identity any setbacks or easements.
If you're building one, you'll need a site plan and to obtain permits. Using a reputable contractor is always a good idea.
Outbuilding are covered under the "Other Structures" (Coverage B) portion of standard homeowner's insurance policy. However you're always welcome to check with us. If it's of a high value, you may need to increase your limits.
