Good Neighbor Spotlight Award July 28 th , 2026
Laura Levine Kalisch is the Senior Loan Advisor at Columbia Bank and has spent 13
years in our community. Laura’s love and dedication to our community started when
she began bringing her children to Lake Tahoe and building memories. Laura’s
husband, Mark Kalisch, Graduate of the Naval Academy retired and moved to Tahoe,
and this started another Tahoe love story when they met and bought a home here.
Laura and Mark have 5 sons and 14 grandchildren.
Laura is an integral part of our community and has a passion for helping people. She is
the Chair of Incline Village Realtors (IVR) Fair Housing and Consumer Advocacy
Committee and the Affiliate Committee this year. Laura’s enthusiasm and proactive
talents were a critical asset IVR this year in securing and implementing a $23,400
Consumer Advocacy Grant for Workforce Housing Solutions in the Tahoe Basin. Laura
has spent two decades working with fair housing agencies in Northern California and
served as a volunteer advocate and counselor for a network of housing agencies
helping many homeowners prevent foreclosures by volunteering with United Policy
Holders to help get checks released to homeowners and banks.
When the fires hit in 2017, Laura helped fire victims get paid by other lenders. Laura
continues to serve as part of a National Advocacy Group, on the Board of the Incline
Village Crystal Bay Association (IVCBA) and the IVCBA housing committee, a member
of the proud Incliners who spearhead many social activities to engage the community in
town.
“Helping people live work and play in their community is my passion”, Laura said. “I feel
so fortunate to wake up in the morning knowing I can make a contribution to my
community, I live in a community of givers that help make Tahoe a better place.”
