Dear Employers (under 500 employees):

Please know that recent legislation has required that you post a new federal notice. This notice must be posted in a conspicuous place. For those of you who have employees working remotely, you'll want to make sure they receive a copy as well.

This notice needs to be posted immediately. We have laminated copies that we're sending out to all of our customers.

Ascent Benefits is mailing laminated copies to employers who would like a copy. Please email [email protected] with your name and mailing address so we can mail you your required notice.

OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE:

I'm looking to find another agent who is interested in building a health insurance business. This person must be driven, dedicated, and wiling to commit to helping Medicare-eligible customers to make decisions.

This isn't a position for someone who plans on getting rich quick. It needs to be someone who has a long-term vision of creating something great.

They will be primarily paid by commission, but they will be eligible for a stipend to keep them going while they build their book as long as they can hit certain targets.

I'm looking to find someone by the end of this month, so they need to be available immediately. They don't need to have a health insurance license, but they need to be able to pass the exam within the next month.

This could be a really exciting opportunity for someone to build a business.

God Bless America. In 2015 I had the opportunity to visit the grave of Marquis de Lafayette. He is buried in the Picpus cemetery in Paris, France.

The experience of paying homage to a man who did so much for America was spiritual. This man loved America. He did one last tour of America late in his life where we welcomed him as a hero. One of his final stops was Bunker Hill, Massachusetts. He loaded up soil from Bunker Hill and he asked his son George Washington Lafayette to bury him in Paris with American soil.

The American flag has flown at his tomb since we kicked out the Germans after World War I. We sent soldiers to his grave and they proclaimed "Lafayette, we are here." Ever since then an American Flag has flown at his grave.

If you ever get the chance to visit him, I encourage you to bring a quarter from the year of your birth and to lay it on his tombstone.

He is one of my favorite heroes from the Revolutionary War. Who is yours?
