Intermountain Wealth Management (IWM) is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). We are a “fee only” advisor and are different from most advisors in the financial industry. As an RIA we are held to a fiduciary standard of care for each client, which is different than many other advisors. We must put the best interests of our clients ahead of our interests. As risk managers, we do not subscribe to a

“buy and hold” philosophy. We believe there are times to increase our investment in stocks and there are times to reduce our stock exposure and move more to bonds and safer conservative investments. When risk is unacceptably high, we take protective action to reduce risk. We use the Hurricane Indicator™ to guide us through the storms of the stock market, helping to avoid potential large losses in client’s accounts. If the storm occurs, we have protected ourselves from the full force of the storm. If the storm doesn’t happen, then we move back into the market.
