Fall Is Coming: Simple Ways to Help Prevent Home Insurance Claims

It's warm today, but, September in Idaho is a great time to get your home ready for colder weather. A few simple preventative steps now can help avoid expensive water, fire, and property damage later.

🚰 Disconnect Your Garden Hoses & Blow Out Your Sprinklers

This is an easy one to forget! Before freezing temperatures arrive, unscrew garden hoses from your outdoor faucets.

Leaving a hose connected can trap water inside the faucet and plumbing. When that water freezes and expands, it can cause a pipe to crack or burst—sometimes inside the wall where you won't notice it until there's significant water damage.
