SPECIAL UPDATE: Emergency Haying and Grazing of CRP due to drought - as of August 2, 2022

The following counties are approved for emergency haying or grazing: Buena Vista, Clay, Ida, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, and Sac.

The following counties are restricted under emergency haying criteria based on Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) triggers: Cherokee, Monona, O'Brien, Plymouth, Sioux, and Woodbury.

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) uses the weekly U.S. Drought Monitor to determine eligibility status. If you are interested in requesting CRP for emergency or non-emergency use, contact your local FSA office.
