Some legacies are measured by the lives they've touched.

To honor the memory of Don Snyder, South Story Bank & Trust donated $10,000 to the Pinky Swear Foundation. This gift will help provide hope and support to families navigating childhood cancer while celebrating Don's enduring commitment to caring for others.

This year's Pinky Swear radiothon is being held on Friday, September 18 on WHO Radio and is in memory of Don. Join us in supporting this amazing organization. You might even dial in and speak with one of your favorite SSBT team members.

We are grateful for the opportunity to honor Don's memory in such a meaningful way and live our mission in the community.

Last year's SSBT United Way campaign ended on a high note… the perfect segue to gear up for this year's campaign. We’re kicking it off with a splash. Or, more accurately, a splat.

As we celebrated the success of last year's United Way efforts and look forward to this year's campaign, employees gathered for a time-honored tradition that combined philanthropy, friendly competition, and whipped cream: pieing Michelle and Nora in the face.

SSBT's own, Michelle and Nora, spent last year's campaign encouraging participation, rallying teams, and helping drive support for United Way's mission. Along the way, they also became the faces of a campaign challenge. As is often the case with great workplace traditions, what starts as a fundraising idea eventually ends with someone wearing a pie.

In front of a crowd of enthusiastic IFC coworkers, Michelle and Nora graciously took their places and accepted their fate from raffle winner, Julie Hahn. While the whipped cream may have landed squarely on its intended targets, the real winner was United Way and the communities served through employee generosity.

The event was the perfect bridge between celebrating what was accomplished last year and building momentum for the campaign ahead. Last year's efforts demonstrated the incredible impact we can make when we come together behind a common cause. This year's campaign aims to build on that success and continue supporting programs that strengthen education, financial stability, and health throughout our communities.

SSBT has been making the rounds this summer, spreading smiles, sweet treats, and a little bit of fidget-fueled fun! Keep an eye out for us at the upcoming PrairieFest and Lincoln Highway Days parades. We'll be tossing out candy, fidget toys and plenty of community spirit along the way!
