I've always had a knack for both numbers and language, but that might have come from my parents (they've been middle school English and Math teachers for as long as I can remember.) Desiring a more purposeful life, I began expanding my part-time photography business, and 2018, I increased my business by 500%. It was shaping into a real possibility to make a career out of documenting peoples' impor
tant moments. It wasn't until I read a few books about purpose and decision making that I realized that the finance industry would be a perfect fit. I was challenged to think about the different strengths that my "people" were already coming to me for. As a mid-twenties gal, I was known as the money nerd, the budgeter, the debt-free guru, and the life-event cheerleader. That's what I want for my clients: financial freedom, a desire for growth, and mutual encouragement on this journey. While building up my photography business, I learned to love working with clients, specifically helping them along in a life stage that they didn't understand as well as I did. As a bride or groom, since you're not in a wedding every week, you learn to lean into the experts, and have a strong level of trust and commitment to the partnership created to ensure that your wedding day is the best it can be. I think the same goes for personal finances. As a financial advisor, I strive to work alongside clients to help understand their goals and values, and along the way, we determine the plan for the future. Just like a wedding photography timeline sets out the structure of a wedding day, the Edward Jones Financial Foundations that we discover and work toward sets the structure for the values of your life. Outside of the office, I love to spend time reading (mostly historical fiction), exercising, spending time outside (especially hiking, fishing, and camping with my husband, Erick). In years past, I've enjoyed travelling, whether it be an all-out adventure or a relaxing getaway to somewhere warm. Together, we love to host friends and family, which usually includes a board game or two, plus some good food courtesy of my husband and his smoker. As far as family goes, I'm really embracing my role as auntie to five hooligans. If you're in need of some encouragement or are interested in a lifelong partner to come alongside you as you discover your financial dreams, I would love to talk. Stop by our office or give me a call.
