In my line of work I hear some things.

"I figured Medicare was like regular insurance. You just pick the cheapest one."
"My neighbor said I don't need Part D if I'm healthy."
"I saw a commercial that said I could get my gym membership covered for free so I went with that one."
"I thought my Medicare card was coming in the mail. It's been six months."

I say this with so much love.
Please stop taking Medicare advice from commercials, neighbors, and assumptions.

That's what I'm here for.

No judgment. No lecture. Just the right information before it costs you.

Drop your Medicare question in the comments. I read every single one.

I want to tell you about a conversation I have more often than I should.

Someone calls me. They turned 65 a year ago. Maybe two. They thought they had more time. Or they didn't know the clock was ticking at all.

And now they're looking at a permanent penalty on their Medicare premium that follows them for the rest of their life.

There is no appeals process for not knowing.
There is no grace period for good intentions.
The deadline is the deadline.

And the hardest part of that conversation isn't explaining the penalty.

It's watching someone realize that a single phone call six months earlier would have changed everything.

You still have time to be that phone call.

If you or someone you love is turning 65 in the next 12 months don't wait until it feels urgent.

It's already urgent.

I put together a free guide that walks through the 5 biggest Medicare mistakes people make at 65. This one is in there.

Comment MISTAKES below and I'll send it straight to you.

This week I spent 20 minutes on hold with an insurance company… only to realize I called the wrong department.

So naturally… I held for another 20 minutes. Character building. 🫠

And you know what I thought about the whole time?

My clients never have to deal with this nonsense.

Because that’s literally my job.
The hold music. The transfers. The “let me connect you…” to someone who… absolutely cannot help.

I take the chaos so you don’t have to.
You just get answers.

Rewarded myself with a strong coffee afterward like I just survived a minor life event. Completely justified. ☕

Happy to do it every single time. 😄

Let's talk about the conversation that almost never happens until it's already a problem.

You turn 65. You get your Medicare sorted. You feel good about it.
But your spouse is 62.

And the employer plan you've both been on for the last decade? It just ended because you retired.
Now what?

This is the coverage gap that blindsides couples every single day. Because when you leave employer coverage your spouse doesn't automatically have a safety net. They need their own plan until they reach Medicare eligibility at 65.

And that gap can be anywhere from a few months to several years.

The cost of coverage during that window varies wildly depending on age, health, and what's available in [STATE]. And it needs to be part of your Medicare planning conversation from the very beginning.

Not an afterthought.
Not something you figure out after you've already enrolled.

I look at the whole picture when I sit down with a client. That means your coverage AND your spouse's.

Because a plan that works for one of you but leaves the other exposed isn't really a plan at all.

Book a free call and let's look at the full picture together.

You turn 65 and think okay. I'll just go online real quick and sign up for Medicare.

Three hours later you have 47 browser tabs open.
You've Googled "what is a deductible" four times.
You've watched two videos that somehow made it more confusing.

And you're pretty sure you accidentally signed up for something but you're not sure what.

Sound familiar?

You are not alone. And you are not bad at this.

Medicare is genuinely confusing. It was designed by the government. Of course it is.

That's exactly why people call me.

One conversation. No browser tabs. No homework.

📲 DM me and let's uncomplicate this together.

This is the one that gets healthy people.

You're turning 65. You feel great. You're not on any regular medications. So you look at Part D prescription drug coverage and think why would I pay for something I don't need?

Here's why. ⤵️

The moment you skip Part D without qualifying coverage you start accruing a late enrollment penalty. Every single month you go without it.

And here's the thing about being healthy at 65.

👉 Things change.

One diagnosis. One surgery. One prescription that costs hundreds of dollars a month without coverage.

Suddenly that Part D plan you skipped doesn't seem so optional anymore. And now you're paying a penalty on top of your premium for the rest of your life.

The monthly cost of a Part D plan is often less than a single copay.

It's not about what you need today.
It's about protecting yourself from what you might need tomorrow.

Send this to someone turning 65 who thinks they don't need Part D.

There is a very specific face people make when I explain the Medicare late enrollment penalty...

You know the one.

It starts as confusion. Then it shifts to "wait, are you serious." Then it lands somewhere between mild panic and genuine frustration.

Because nobody told them.

Not their HR department. Not their financial advisor. Not the Medicare website that somehow makes everything harder to understand than it needs to be.

Just me. Sitting across from them. Watching it all click into place.

The good news is that face never has to be yours.

Because you're here. Reading this. Getting ahead of it.

That's exactly what I'm here for.

Can I tell you the most common thing I hear from people turning 65?

"I thought Medicare was automatic."

It's not.

If you aren't already drawing Social Security, the government has no idea you're ready to enroll. That means no card shows up. No reminder. No heads up.

You have a 7-month window to sign up. Miss it and you could be locked out of coverage for months.

That's not a scare tactic. That's just how it works.

If you or someone you love is turning 65 this year, let's talk before that window closes.
