Citizens Bank & Trust Co.

Citizens Bank & Trust Co. Citizens Bank has been your hometown bank since 1886! Good People to Turn to! Today, banking is much different. Citizens Bank is always looking to the future.

It was 1886 when Citizens Bank opened its doors for the first time to the small but growing community of Hutchinson. Through a history of good management, Citizens Bank was a pillar of strength even through World War I, the Great Depression, World War II and other times of economic hardship. Over the years, the bank building has expanded to meet the growing needs of our community. Even though our

look has changed, we are still occupying the same location we did in 1892. Our emphasis on electronic services has made banking incredibly easy, yet our dedication to providing great personal service remains the same. All the conveniences of mobile banking, bill pay, debit cards, online banking, direct deposit and more provide an opportunity for us to serve you better. Watch for exciting changes in the years to come. We could not be more pleased to be your bank.

A new place to learn, play and grow is now part of our Hutchinson community, and it started with an idea.

As part of the Minnesota Bankers Association's Community Impact Month, our team recently completed the Born Learning Trail at Rotary Park. Over the next few weeks, we’ll introduce you to some of the Citizens Bank & Trust Co. employees behind the project, starting with Ari Zaske.

Ari played an important role in bringing the Born Learning Trail to Hutchinson. She worked with the City of Hutchinson to find the right location and helped secure donations to purchase the materials needed to bring the trail to life.

For Ari, giving back is personal.

“Hutchinson has given me everything I have today; my house, my career, my family. It only seems right to give some of my time and effort back into making our community even better.”

One of her favorite parts of the project was working alongside her coworkers, getting to know them better outside of the office and creating something together that local kids can use to learn and play for years to come.

Ari believes projects like the Born Learning Trail show what Hutchinson values - our families, our kids and the future of our community.

“We are pouring into the future generations of our community and giving them reasons to love growing up here and want their own kids to grow up here someday.”

For Ari, giving back means caring about where we live and showing that gratitude through acts of service. She also believes community involvement is an important part of who we are at Citizens Bank & Trust Co.

“It shows we truly care about the town we are a part of and the people we serve. It’s proof that we embody the ‘hometown bank’ in everything we do, not just the banking part.”

The Born Learning Trail was made possible through the support of Citizens Bank & Trust Co., the City of Hutchinson, Southwest Initiative Foundation (SWIF), and Hutchinson Rotary.

Thank you, Ari, for helping turn an idea into something Hutchinson families can enjoy for years to come and for showing what being a community bank is all about.

This year, our Minnesota Bankers Association Community Impact Month project brought our CB team together at Rotary Park to help complete the Born Learning Trail.

The trail creates a fun, interactive way for children and families to learn, play and spend time together while enjoying one of our local parks.

Throughout the month, we’ll be introducing you to some of the Citizens Bank & Trust employees who helped with the project and sharing a little more about why giving back to our community is important to them.

We’re looking forward to sharing more about the project and the employees who helped make it happen.

August was a busy month for our CB volunteers!

Deidra Beilke and Crystal Hedlund spent time volunteering at Stroll for Hope at Crow River Winery, supporting an event that raises funds for local cancer care and patient assistance.

We also had a group of employees volunteer at the McLeod County Fair which one of our favorite community traditions!

Earlier this year, we set a goal of giving 140 volunteer hours in honor of our 140th anniversary and we’re excited to share that our employees have already surpassed that goal!

We’re proud of our team for continuing to show up and we’re not done yet!
