I’m sure you have heard “Feast or famine” in the auto repair industry its good when there is lots of “Gravy” work to go around but there are those bad weeks and you often have no control over it. As Auto Techs we all bust our butts and work hard, fighting warranty job times, workplace politics, inexperienced or lazy service writers, and often long and difficult electrical diagnostics on increasingly complex vehicle systems or that one broken bolt that turns a 10 minute job into an hour or days. On top of all that we have to buy and maintain all our own very expensive tools too. You know exactly what I’m talking about.
