The S&P 500 is giving a sell signal on the daily chart of the indicators I follow. It's the first sell signal that we have had since October.
It might not be a bad time to lock in your gains while we are up around all time highs like we are.

My favorite investment program is guaranteed by an insurance company not to lose money in the market (lock in your gains), and has back-tested average annual returns of 15% per year.

To give you an idea of how good 15% per year returns are, that would project to double your money every 5 years. At 15% per year, $100,000 would project to grow to $800,000 in just 15 years.

"stocks have historically had a tough time following the first interest rate cut by the Fed. Not only did they experience pretty steep losses (y-axis), but they also took quite a while to find a bottom (x-axis). On average, the S&P 500 lost 23.5% after a rate cut and took 200 days to hit bottom. They sometimes lost less and sometimes recovered more quickly, but a Fed cut has never been very good news for stocks."

Stocks tend to fall after the Fed cuts interest rates, often for some time. So be careful what you wish for.
