Free 2 Teach Students need supplies to learn. Teachers need tools to teach. Our community needs young people to drive our future.

Free 2 Teach provides free school supplies to public school teachers in Madison and Limestone County, Alabama, by mobilizing the community to ensure every child has access to an excellent education. Free 2 Teach is the connection point for these needs. We connect our teachers with a multitude of resources including traditional school supplies, office supplies, math and science resources, craft items, room décor, books, furniture and more. Free 2 Teach provides free resources to teachers in Madison County’s three public school systems. These resources are available to more than 3,800 full-time classroom teachers and their 52,000 students, improving the educational experience of our children and strengthening our community’s future workforce. Free 2 Teach is committed to easing the personal financial burden of teachers. Did you know that teachers spend between five-hundred and fifteen-hundred dollars of their own money every year to buy supplies for their students and classrooms? Each teacher who shops at the Free 2 Teach store leaves with an average of $400 in free classroom resources. We are grateful to be able to give back to our community’s teachers in a very tangible way. We applaud their passion for doing this important work and look forward to supporting them as they continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and our community. Teacher's must register on our website to be able to see our store hours and schedule a shopping time: http://free2teach.3cfreestore.com/Teacher/RegisterToShop.

💚 We love welcoming our new Morgan County teachers to Free 2 Teach!

On Tuesday, nine teachers from Union Hill Junior High School visited our free store and took home more than $2,000 worth of classroom supplies at no cost! 📚✏️

This is just one example of the incredible impact of our recent expansion into Morgan County! 🎉 With this expansion, Free 2 Teach can now serve 45 additional schools across Morgan County’s three public school systems, supporting more than 2,000 teachers and staff who serve over 20,000 students. 🍎🏫

We’re especially grateful to Senator Arthur Orr for his support in making this expansion possible. Thanks to this partnership, we’re able to put more essential supplies into classrooms and help even more North Alabama educators and students thrive! 💚

We’re so grateful for the incredible support of our hardworking volunteer groups! 🙌

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming teams from TVA, Lockheed Martin, and Yedla Hotel Group to Free 2 Teach. Their time, energy, and dedication are helping us keep our free store stocked and ready to support teachers across North Alabama! 📚✏️

Together, these amazing volunteers have helped us meet the needs of teachers from 159 public schools across Madison, Morgan, and Limestone counties. With their help, we’ve been able to distribute more than $833,000 worth of donated supplies to educators across our three counties! 🎉

Thank you to every volunteer who gives their time to support teachers and students in our community. We couldn’t do it without you!

We are so thankful to Senator Sam Givhan, who presented Free 2 Teach with a transformational gift of $50,000 today!

This investment is focused on strengthening the infrastructure that makes our work possible. Our warehouse is a very special place: it's where our volunteers give their time, where teachers shop for the resources their students need, and where our community comes together to invest in public education.

Thank you, Senator Givhan, for investing in our work and our warehouse at Free 2 Teach!!

“I’m going to give these books as a Christmas gift to my first graders to help create the love of reading. I had this on my heart that this is what I wanted to do for my students, and I was going to save my money and go thrift stores and do my best, but instead I found it all here. Thank you so much to everyone who makes this possible.”
