Although A Action is not currently involved in the day to day business of bonding individuals out of jail, the owner, Lee Johnston is making plans to stay involved in the Criminal Justice System and those who find themselves, in one way or another, wrapped up in this environment. FaceBook has made big investments in terms of their time, dollars, and resources through their Chan Zuckerberg Institute to assist systems across the country help it to become the best it can be. Our citizens, Judges, Clerks, DA’s offices and Attorneys, victims, and defendants across the country, if not already, want to be proud and fair in the work they do and the way they are all are treated.

The Chan Zuckerberg Institute (CZI) is a philanthropic organization founded and funded by Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Chan Zuckerberg. Their laser like focus is concentrated initially in three areas, Education, Justice & Opportunity, and Health. Be prepared to see world class solutions, that are sincerely being created to solve National and Worldwide problems, and help all those they touch.

The three areas of attention, if positioned and rolled out correctly (with all those already involved, deep concern from both sides of the legislative aisles, at both the Federal and State levels no worries) will create a synergy, allowing each initiative to push and compliment the other. My hope is that everyone who receive hope & help as a result of these efforts, find a way to contribute.

Growing up in Kansas City one could not help but hear and read about the many wonderland and exciting things the Kauffman Family did for the city. From sports (Chief's Football Stadium, built in the 70's, and to this day is still recognized as one of the best stadiums in the league) Played a national role in the merger of the AFL with the NFL (sorry about your Chiefs today Mr.Kauffman!). And as this clip shows, he also had other interests and business ventures.
The Family worked many, too many to list actually, Charities, Foundations, as well as laying the foundation for the "City of Fountains" to grow, and transforming into what it is today, which is #5 on the list of fastest growing technology ecosystem, similar to Silicon Valley, in the nation. And the Kauffman Foundation continues to lead the way.
PLEASE listen to what his #1 principle in growing one's business. It will be no surprise to you what it is OR that it is what one would find missing in all businesses, whether they are winning or losing. Federal, State, and local leadership all agree that big changes need to be made in the way our citizens transverse the judicial/prison system maze. Mr. Kauffman's #1 principle could more than likely make a big dent in that issue, along with the opioid crisis. Sounds crazy you say? How can 1 principle have the power and ability to be useful in solving so many big, complex, issues? It is simple really.

Good money is always spent in the beginning. Building a solid foundation for any undertaking is the best spent money of the project. Unfortunately, there are times when no amount of money can repair what decades of use and abuse can repair. A system that has outlived it's technology and resources. It is the belief of many that money spent in the beginning; early education, a way to show young people love, and help them find dreams to follow. The smallest of things that we may take for granted, are many of the things individuals who end up in prison never had, If we develop program that help the citizens get on, and remain on the right road. Will there always be a need for incarceration? Yes. Do I think there are ways to reduce the need for incaceration and/or reduce recidivism by double digits. We have put man on the moon, and according to President Trump recently, will put man on the moon again. Huntsville, Alabama is ranked at #1 as a growing technological environment similar to Silicon Valley. There is no doubt we can make this issue much more managable, if not solve this problem of mass incarceration.

This video had a significant impact on me! Although it is a complex dilemma how can we insure that everyone hears a sincere "I love you son" or Guurrrll I am so proud of you for that report card! Fantastic!"
I have heard it a lot from my kids, have had a couple people reach out with a hand up after I have stumbled. And I can't even imagine going the majority of my life not getting or giving a hug, feeling the love from a friend or relative.
If the world could learn to show love, help, understand the difficulties some are going through it would be a much better, happier place. !

If Huntsville can play a major role in sending man to the moon, help guard countries with our patriot missile defense system, and just as impressive is USAToday published an article recently pointing out that HSV is ranked #1 of 5 as having the fastest growing technology Community/Hub/Expanding to nearby cities, outside of Silicon Valley. We should work as a community to have the best judicial system as well. All the judges are good people and are being pressured from above, and so on. It is not one person's fault, it is a nationwide problem from coast to coast.
My believe is from the bottom to the top and all those in between would like to find answers. We need to pt our best brains on it sooner than later.

The state motto ought to be: don't screw up.

Since the beginning of my appearance on the Bail Bond scene it has truly been a passion to help young people who my heart said good be saved. The majority came from single parent households, had few if any mentors, and I always tried to make myself available to help out, give a ride to pick up an application, practice interview questions, etc. At the time we are talking about an early thirties guy in a pair of Jordans, the matching sweat suit, and a brick cellular phone. Let me tell you this was not easy and my efforts failed more than they were successful. It was the times, how people felt criminals, regardless of age, from their first minor charge. This is a longer video, but as a parent, a young guy or girl wanting to stay out of the traps life in your neighborhood, take the time to watch, look, and listen to this video and discover ways to make more money than you think is possible. It takes a community to raise a child, and i have no problem being a part of that community! Without that community things are going to stay the same or get worse. Many of us will recognize and have used a couple of these ideas. Now I will stop typing and let y'all start watching and listening.

Prison is felt by the whole family. It doesn't run in the family, it runs the family. The time has come to stop it where it begins!
